The WeVote® Mission

WeVote® is on a mission to create a more democratic society by empowering American voters with access to reliable information, facilitating discussions, and fostering civic engagement.

We’re in the process of creating a civic social network that empowers users with access to a comprehensive database of over 250,000 legislative forums. Our goal is to be the largest, most trusted online network for political ideas and action; to bring our users closer to the political process; to amplify their collective voices; and make an impact.

About The WeVote® Foundation

The WeVote Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization dedicated to fostering engagement, education and empowerment for people to help their communities make smarter public policy decisions.  We believe this begins with equal access to information and education about matters being deliberated in our democratically representative institutions, and how to get involved and participate in the process on the same level as everyone else.

We Are a Community of Voters

100% of the people, by the people, and for the people. Join the most deliberative community for public policy online.

Be Heard, Be Counted

Voters on WeVote® have equal voice as everyone else, your voice and your vote counts just as much as anyone.

Equal Access to Information

You don’t need to hire a lobbyist to stay up to date with the latest activity in your state capitol.  Join with other voters in your community to build a movement from the ground up.

Level Playing Field for Public Discourse

It’s not enough that you have access to all the relevant data about a topic, if you’re not able to participate in the conversation.  Check how WeVote® Forums give you unprecedented access to the legislative process.

What We Do

At the heart of WeVote® is the desire to generate meaningful dialogue on public policy and legislative issues.

Legislative Forums

We’re working to make sure anyone who wants to participate in the decision making process of our democratic institutions is able to do so enthusiastically and effectively. Our legislative forums are designed to both engage and educate our communities and to empower our members.

Community Advocacy

Our Community Advocates help get your voice heard by your representatives on the issues you care about most. Your activity on the WeVote platform is shared with your representatives to make sure they have the whole story before making decisions on public policy.

With TrueCount®, our Constituent Relationship Manager (CRM), your representatives and their staff will be able to interact with their constituents like never before. TrueCount helps them quantify their constituents sentiment, so they can make smarter decisions.

How We Help Keep Democracy Alive

Our work revolves around creating a trusted, engaging digital space where voters and their representatives can engage in a meaningful dialogue about public policy. Here's an insight into the core areas of our work:

Developing a Secure Platform

Security is the cornerstone of WeVote®. We are committed to developing a robust and secure platform where each user is verified as a legitimate voter. Our platform ensures the integrity of conversations by allowing only verified constituents to participate. We implement stringent data privacy practices to keep our users’ information secure and confidential.

Fostering Civil Discourse

We believe that civil discourse is the bedrock of a vibrant democracy. That’s why we have dedicated our work to creating well-moderated digital spaces where individuals can discuss, deliberate, and understand public policy issues. Our community guidelines and moderation policies are designed to foster respectful, constructive, and inclusive conversations.

Connecting Stakeholders

One of our primary goals is to bridge the gap between constituents and their elected representatives. We’ve created a platform that allows voters to directly engage with their representatives, facilitating a two-way dialogue that helps voters voice their concerns and representatives to understand the needs of their constituents.

Building Dedicated Policy Forums

We have designed online forums around every major public policy issue. These forums are platforms for deep dive discussions where users can explore the nuances of policies, understand different perspectives, and contribute to the discourse in a meaningful way.

Enhancing Trust in Democracy

Through our work, we aim to enhance the trust and approval of democratic systems by providing a transparent platform where policy-making is demystified and everyone has an equal voice. We believe in the power of informed voters and strive to make democracy more accessible and understandable for all.

Educating for Better Policy Making

WeVote® is not just a platform for discussion, but a tool for education. We’re committed to providing comprehensive resources that help voters better understand the policy landscape, thereby enhancing the overall intelligence and understanding that contributes to policy making.
